Annual Report 2023/2024
Our year in numbers
In 2023-24:
-
3,277 people shared their experiences of health and social care
services with us, helping to raise awareness of issues and
improve care.
-
784 people came to us for clear advice and information about topics
such as mental health and the cost-of-living crisis.
-
We published 13 reports about the improvements people would like
to see to health and social care services.
-
Our most popular reports were ‘Supporting people to stay healthy and well as the cost of living rises’ which highlighted how financial pressures are affecting many people’s ability to pay for treatment and services required to access healthcare, and ‘Accessing GP services in Gloucestershire’ which identified confusion about appointment booking processes and the accessibility challenges faced in terms of language barriers and use of technology.
-
We’re lucky to have 33 outstanding volunteers who gave up 120 days to make health and social care better for our community.
Our Top Four priorities for 2024-25 are:
-
Exploring the impact of Pharmacy closures on access and increased delegated responsibilities to Pharmacy staff
-
Exploring the experiences of older adults with regard to how services work in a joined up way to improve quality of life for our increasingly ageing population
-
Understanding and exploring access to health and care services for people in Gloucestershire who are ‘hidden’ homeless.
-
Developing relationships with young people, families and carers, and the community groups and system partners that support them.
